ANATOMY OF THE SHOULDER
The shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body. Due to its great mobility, it is prone to frequent injuries and pain. The shoulder consists of the scapula, the upper part of the humerus, and the clavicle. It is surrounded by a joint capsule with ligaments that act as static stabilizers. Four muscles serve as dynamic stabilizers: Supraspinatus Infraspinatus Teres minor Subscapularis Their tendons attach to the humerus, keeping it stable in the socket (glenoid).
TREATMENT OF SHOULDER INJURIES AND DISORDERS
Most problems are resolved through disciplined exercise or physical therapy, sometimes with shoulder blockades. Many patients who come to us for physical therapy as well as kinesitherapy have issues specifically with their shoulders.
